New Years

We came back to Texas just in time for New Years. We had a couple of people over to watch the ball drop. We ordered pizzas play rockband for hours and about an hour before the ball dropped we put on some Brian Regean. We were either really tired because that was funniest I have ever seen him, or he just get better each time you watch. Either way it was a ton of fun.

Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year. I made our first Christmas letter to be sent off. If we missed anyone sorry but here is a copy:

Happy Holidays everyone! As this year comes to an end Dave and I thought of how wonderful it was for us. We have been truly blessed.

Dave graduated from Brigham Young University in June of this year with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He began work for the accounting firm called PricewaterhouseCoopers soon after in July. Dave has been kept very busy working some long hours and traveling to places like Pennsylvania, Maryland, Arkansas and Illinois. He is hoping to take a certification exam for Information Systems auditors early next year, followed by the CPA exam. New church calling: nursery worker and Elder’s Quorum Teacher. Favorite free-time activity: XBOX Live. Favorite thing about Texas: the State Fair and big trucks. Favorite TV Show: The Office.

While Dave was finishing up school I was working at Dentrix just like last year (nothing new or exciting there). I was fortunate to be able to bring my work with me to Texas and work from home. However, I feel the need to move on and do what I love: to teach! I am planning on getting my teaching certificate early next year. Due to a high demand of science teachers in Texas, I may also be able to begin teaching as early as January. New Church Calling: Second Counselor, Primary Presidency. Favorite free-time activity: playing with Pinky and Peanut our guinea pigs. Favorite thing about Texas: the State Fair. Favorite TV Show: Pushing Daisies.

We look forward to the up coming year and whatever surprises it brings us.
Have a great holiday season and a happy new year!

We go to take two weeks off and visit friends in Utah and then hitched a ride to Idaho. It was great spending time with family and friends I really enjoyed it. This year as present go we made out like bandits. We got clothes, games, books, etc. It was great we got practically everything on our wish list. We have enjoyed everything we received. I hope everyone's Christmas was as great as ours.

Peanut

We have a guinea pig called Pinky. However when I went to the store to buy more food I found out they like to be social. With Christmas on the way she would be all by herself for two weeks. I didn't like this idea so I got Peanut. I choose her because of her crazy hair. I thought she was the cutest one they had. Peanut and Pinky at first did not get a long they didn't know what sharing meant but they are doing great now.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was fun because we got to spend it with Munsons. (Dave's Aunt and Uncle) We ate so much food that I felt like I was going to explode. The boys all watched the football games. The girls played games and did a puzzle the rest of the evening. We had so much fun we didn't leave until late at night. It was really sweet of them to have us over. We forgot our camera so we didn't get to take any pictures so we will just have to make mental notes of how great it was.

Texas State Fair

So its been a while since we last blogged. Since then we have gone to the Texas State fair which was a blast. I ate a turkey leg the size of my head and my weight in cotton candy which needless to say made me sick, but well worth it. We also had some fried food and took a ride on the tilt-a-whirl. Which happens to be Dave's favorite ride. It was funny he was laughing like a little kid the whole ride. They had some petting sites (the baby cow was my favorite) and car exhibits. It was fun to sit in the fancy cars that we will never buy.
