More House

The Crest Residence!
I apologize the rooms are not perfectly clean, but at least they were unpacked. The dining room is empty and a bedroom is empty. We have lots of plans for them, but we need to save up some money before we address them.

Dave's Project

I was not the only one with projects, Dave has been working his tail off at work and then coming home working to death on top of it! He built me my changing table and properly anchored it to the wall. He anchored all of the book cases in the house. Built a side table for the study. He installed all of the knobs in the kitchen. And the biggest of all the tasks, he installed every set of binds in our house. Who know there were none to begin with. I spent a morning at home depot waiting while they cut them all and Dave installed them. It took three nights and a couple of tries but all 16 windows have blinds. Yeah Dave! His next big project is the lawn. It is very sad to look at but he will bring it back to life with color and kill all of the weeds!

The beautiful knobs

Lucy likes Dave's toys almost as much as he does

Dave hung these curtains, blinds, and painted the walls

He put the chairs together, the side table, and anchored those book cases

one set of blinds he hung

He painted this bathroom green (I eventually hung that picture)

Dave hung both of these blinds

The changing table he built me, yeah!!

My Project

I have been doing lots of projects around the house, mostly things for Lucy.
For instance, I painted her crib and dresser white. That took forever, but it looks awesome. For mother's day/my back needed it, Dave got a changing table luckily it was white so I didn't have to paint that! If you don't remember what the crib and dress looked like before than I succeeded. They were dark though so I spent a few days just sanding them down. Then a few more priming them and then a few more painting 2 coats to actually make them white!

I also have been spending several days baby proofing. It is a lot harder than it sounds!

I also had some fun installing knobs on the bathroom cupboards and draws. You wouldn't think that would be hard, but of course life is not easy. We got the knobs from IKEA (our favorite store). Because it was IKEA it was in mm instead of inches. So when we needed longer screws because the draws were double the thickness, they didn't exist! We would have had to go to Sweden to get them! ( I exaggerate a little) So what do I do, I take off one of the layers of wood and drill a bigger whole to sink the head of the screw in and then reattach the front of the draw and attach the knob. So what should have been minutes turned into hours because we have like 50 draws! (again I exaggerate)

I think the final result is nice though.

Lucy Fashion Show

Sorry this took so long, but with moving life has been crazy!
For easter Lucy's grandparents sent lots of dresses. Enough I felt to be a fashion show, the model of choice--Lucy!
