Updates

Just an update to me and how I am feeling.  The morning sickness has gone away!!!!  It left at about 14 weeks and I am now 15 and loving life again.  Dave said today I have officially started to show.  I go back and forth everyday about whether or not I am showing.  Hopefully I will soon so I don't just look chubby anymore and people will recognize I am pregnant.  Next month I am going in to find out if it is a boy or girl.  Dave wants and thinks it is a girl.  I just don't know.  The odds of a girl are pretty good considering I only have sisters and have quiet a bit of sister-in-laws.  But we shall see!!

This week I am going to be packing like crazy because Saturday we move to our new apartment.  (We will need a two bedroom for obvious reasons) I know all the warnings about lifting too much will stress the baby so I made a deal with Dave.  I pack and he does any cleaning that involves a product more intense than windex.  He will also lift and move all the boxes while I get the keys from the office and unpack what he gets moved it.  Lots of people from church are coming to help so it should all go smoothly.  Plus the area we are moving to is really close to a lot of really good friends.  I am looking forward to seeing them more often and developing closer relationships.

Also probably one of the most exciting things is Dave has a new job.  Starting tomorrow he will be working for Highland Capitol.  They are an investment manager.  They are not located downtown so hopefully Dave won't be fighting too much traffic in the morning.  Plus they have really cool perks like gym memberships so Dave will be able to work out as much as he wants.  Also, the things I didn't like before go away meaning, less crazy hours, no more traveling, no more different client locations everyday!  It will be a consistent (although very hardworking) job!

We are so excited for all of the blessing Heavenly Father has given us recently.  We are truly blessed and are very thankful for them.  We love you all and hope everyone is as blessed and happy as we are!!

Why I have been a hermit.

So since Christmas I have been a hermit and feeling sick. You want to know why? Because I am pregnant! I don't know the sex of the baby yet but it is due September 3rd. Yes another September birthday! I am about 12 weeks along and going strong. This is an old picture but you can still see he/she in it. This picture is from when I was 7 weeks along, so he/she is a tiny and I mean tiny bit bigger now.

I go back to the doctors at the end of March to find out if it is a boy or girl. I am really excited Dave hopes it is a girl. My aunt says it will be a boy. I just hope it's healthy. So we will see. Take your guesses as to whether its a boy or girl!

New Years

We came back to Texas just in time for New Years. We had a couple of people over to watch the ball drop. We ordered pizzas play rockband for hours and about an hour before the ball dropped we put on some Brian Regean. We were either really tired because that was funniest I have ever seen him, or he just get better each time you watch. Either way it was a ton of fun.

Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year. I made our first Christmas letter to be sent off. If we missed anyone sorry but here is a copy:

Happy Holidays everyone! As this year comes to an end Dave and I thought of how wonderful it was for us. We have been truly blessed.

Dave graduated from Brigham Young University in June of this year with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He began work for the accounting firm called PricewaterhouseCoopers soon after in July. Dave has been kept very busy working some long hours and traveling to places like Pennsylvania, Maryland, Arkansas and Illinois. He is hoping to take a certification exam for Information Systems auditors early next year, followed by the CPA exam. New church calling: nursery worker and Elder’s Quorum Teacher. Favorite free-time activity: XBOX Live. Favorite thing about Texas: the State Fair and big trucks. Favorite TV Show: The Office.

While Dave was finishing up school I was working at Dentrix just like last year (nothing new or exciting there). I was fortunate to be able to bring my work with me to Texas and work from home. However, I feel the need to move on and do what I love: to teach! I am planning on getting my teaching certificate early next year. Due to a high demand of science teachers in Texas, I may also be able to begin teaching as early as January. New Church Calling: Second Counselor, Primary Presidency. Favorite free-time activity: playing with Pinky and Peanut our guinea pigs. Favorite thing about Texas: the State Fair. Favorite TV Show: Pushing Daisies.

We look forward to the up coming year and whatever surprises it brings us.
Have a great holiday season and a happy new year!

We go to take two weeks off and visit friends in Utah and then hitched a ride to Idaho. It was great spending time with family and friends I really enjoyed it. This year as present go we made out like bandits. We got clothes, games, books, etc. It was great we got practically everything on our wish list. We have enjoyed everything we received. I hope everyone's Christmas was as great as ours.

Peanut

We have a guinea pig called Pinky. However when I went to the store to buy more food I found out they like to be social. With Christmas on the way she would be all by herself for two weeks. I didn't like this idea so I got Peanut. I choose her because of her crazy hair. I thought she was the cutest one they had. Peanut and Pinky at first did not get a long they didn't know what sharing meant but they are doing great now.
